Green CertificationShould your Green product be certified by an outside source?.  Without a third-party review, the public may not have confidence in any product claiming to be Green.  Therefore, our task is a thorough review of what the public impact of your product might be.  Greenwashing has been described as over-exaggeration or false claims about the Green or environmental value of a product or service.  To prevent this, an independent third party should review the obvious elements of the product and the claims being made.  In other words, we look at the veracity of your product or service.  We are not a testing lab.  If that is needed, there are firms that will do that.  Certifiably Green Clean relies upon existing information, and we validate the legitimacy of the claims being made.

That makes the Certifiably Green Clean trademark different from most certifications.  However, we do not rubber stamp any product for a fee.  An extensive research is conducted to discover any misstatements or obvious environmental problems that the public should know.  While we do not render an opinion on the Green or environmental composition of a product, we do accomplish a type of "Due Diligence" that impacts the truthfulness of product claims.  Therefore, this is about truthfulness and credibility of a product being offered to the public.

Note therefore, that the Certifiably Green Clean trademark is used as a educational and informational designation regarding the truthfulness of product representations.  "Verification" means that the products or services submitted for review are reviewed for fairness and accuracy of representations. This may differ from programs that conduct lab analysis and ingredient impact.  In a world struggling with Green hype and greenwashing, our goal is to review the representations only, which has strong public value as a third party review process
