About

Product ReviewOur team of reviewers understand the demands of the Green customer and environmental issues that we all face.  The persistent use of Greenwashing tactics require that some review program verify claims made by any Green product or service.  Therefore, our staff takes a critical look at every submission.  We ask the questions that the buying public would ask.  We are not a testing facility or lab. We look at the credibility of the representations made for the product from a consumer perspective.

When a product or service is submitted for review, our staff reviews the credibility of the product as presented.  Since Greenwashing is exaggeration or outright misrepresentation of the product are common business tactics, our team evaluates products and services for "Fairness and Credibility."  This is substantially different from most "lab testing programs."  Programs like UL (Underwriters Laboratories) are helpful and necessary, a lab report alone may not address how a product is marketed or represented once the testing is done.

Customer protection agencies, like the FTC, may investigate bad business practices or product complaints. It is rare to find a firm that looks at the integrity of the product representation and obvious product shortfalls in light of known concerns.  Certifiably Green Clean addresses this niche of "consumer review" that simply asks hard questions about the fair marketing of the product.

Claims of a Green or environmental product are relatively unregulated.  The use of our seal carries the value of a consumer-type review that most consumers will value.  It is impossible for consumers to review and evaluate product claims.  The fact that a knowledgeable program has done this for them is more than helpful.  That is why no product or service can obtain the verification logo of this program for the mere payment of a fee.  A full review is conducting taking about two to four weeks.  A report of our finding is issued that shows the research and findings of our review.  Not all product will pass the review, but those that fail probably already know that they are skirting the truth about their product.
